Position Overview
The Sales Lead is a top-performing seller and trusted leader who delivers an elevated client experience while supporting the daily operations of the Madison Avenue boutique.
This individual leads by example on the sales floor, drives business through strategic clienteling, and acts as a brand ambassador for Cartolina. The ideal candidate has experience within luxury or contemporary fashion, a strong understanding of personal styling, and a polished, all-American aesthetic that aligns with the Cartolina customer.
This role requires a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for creating memorable client experiences that extend far beyond the transaction.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver an elevated, personalized shopping experience that reflects the Cartolina brand and luxury service standards
Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales goals while supporting overall store performance
Build and maintain a strong client book through outreach, appointment selling, follow-up communication, and relationship building
Develop long-term relationships with local Madison Avenue clientele and visiting customers alike
Provide thoughtful styling guidance with a strong understanding of fit, wardrobe building, occasion dressing, and accessorizing to create a polished head-to-toe look
Support in-store events, private shopping appointments, and community activations
Lead with positivity and professionalism on the sales floor, motivating the team through example
Execute opening and closing responsibilities and serve as a trusted leader in the absence of management
Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the boutique reflects the Cartolina aesthetic at all times
Support operational excellence, including shipment processing, replenishment, inventory management, and organization

Qualifications
2+ years of experience in luxury, contemporary, or elevated retail environments
Previous key holder, sales lead, or leadership experience preferred
Proven ability to drive sales results and build a loyal client base
Strong background in clienteling and personalized customer outreach
Passion for fashion, styling, and creating exceptional client experiences
Polished communication and interpersonal skills
Entrepreneurial, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment
Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak retail periods
Experience with CRM and clienteling platforms, such as Endear preferred
