over 20 years – providing women a customized one-on-one experience with the tools and tips to

Kimara grew up in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania where she lived and worked on the

property of her family’s resort. She attended Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland and

earned a BA in Business Management. After graduation, she thought she would pursue a

corporate career in New York City. First, however, she decided to fulfill a childhood dream and

took a summer course in makeup artistry, which clarified for her that her passion lay in doing

makeup. She accepted the position of assistant to a makeup artist in New York City, and quickly

learned the ins and outs of the world of makeup. The experience made her realize that she

wanted to create a makeup studio where the ambiance greatly differed from the department

store cosmetic counter, as well as a high-quality makeup line that would meet her exacting

standards and the needs of her clients. In 1997 that dream came true with the opening of her

studio on Madison Avenue. Today her team of makeup artists and estheticians are among the

most highly sought out beauty experts in the industry.

Kimara has been a guest on numerous national broadcast shows, makeover segments and

beauty panels and has been featured in national publications such as The New York Times,

Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Redbook, MORE, Vanity Fair and Town & Country. Kimara is often touted

for her bridal expertise and interviewed in wedding publications including New York Weddings,

Town & Country Weddings and Bride’s, among others.

Kimara has worked extensively with professional models and New York’s high society. Kimara

and her team’s celebrity clientele includes bold-faced names such as Gwyneth Paltrow,

Cameron Diaz, Anne Hathaway, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Isabella Rossellini, Meryl Streep,

Julianna Margulies, Christine Baranski, Amanda Peet, Susan Lucci, Katherine Heigl, and

Danielle Jonas to name a few.
