“The REBNY ‘Most Ingenious Retail Deal of the Year’ opening of Bottega Veneta and the triumphant and long-awaited return of La Goulue to Madison Avenue would be enough of a headline to fill any retail development report, but there is so much more exciting news to start 2018,” said Matthew Bauer, President of the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District (BID). “From Alexandre Birman making a splash on Madison Avenue’s “Shoe Row” between East 75 & East 76 Streets; to casual & bohemian luxury brands making headway on Madison Avenue with ba&sh, Johnny Was and The Westside; to Madison Avenue further solidifying its status as the largest British luxury goods destination in North America with the opening of N. Peal, there is much to celebrate during these first few months of 2018. Also during this period, La Boutique Resale and Michael’s Consignment opened new locations within the Madison Avenue Consignment District (72nd h to 86th Streets), Taji Fashions (a bespoke men’s suiting boutique) moved to a new ground floor location, and Fred Leighton / Kwiat, Jimmy Choo and Vacheron Constantin made major renovations to their exiting boutiques.”

Madison Avenue, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, is North America’s largest luxury district. Featuring some of the most sought-after real estate in the world, Madison Avenue features the flagship boutiques of the finest European and American designers; celebrated restaurants; spas and salons for exclusive pampering; five internationally renowned hotels, over one hundred galleries, and The Met Breuer museum.
