Benefiting the CFDA Scholarship Fund
Step Up For Fashion will be the centerpiece for WELCOME BACK SATURDAY – Madison Avenue’s annual event to celebrate the return to fall fashion and shopping in the impressive roster of boutiques located between East 57th and East 86th Streets and adjacent side streets.
Organized by the Madison Avenue B.I.D., the event will benefit the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and its Scholarship Fund that supports the next generation of leaders in the fashion design industries.
On Saturday, September 21, from noon to 4pm, participating retailers will sponsor a Step Up For Fashion “platform style show” with a model in front of their stores at 1, 2 and 3pm and host an in-store shopping event to benefit the CFDA Scholarship Fund. Participating stores will donate 10% of sales to the CFDA Scholarship Fund and welcome customers to step inside to view the new collections and put together fall looks with assistance from their in-house stylists and personal shoppers.
