30th Annual Miracle on Madison Avenue, Saturday, December 3, 2016

November 6th, 2016

Miracle on Madison Avenue, New York’s cherished holiday shopping tradition, is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year. On Saturday, December 3, Madison Avenue will greet shoppers and visitors on the blocks between 57th and 86th Streets with its most abundant bounty of holiday festivities in honor of the occasion.

The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is the official beneficiary and partner. Participating retailers and businesses on Madison Avenue between 57th and 86th Streets will donate 20% of the sales that day between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (with a maximum contribution of $15,000 per retailer). This will be the fifth year that Miracle on Madison Avenue has raised funds targeted to the pediatric initiatives of The Society of MSK, a volunteer organization that works to ensure the well-being of patients; raise funds for cancer research and treatment; and provide public education on the prevention, early detection, and treatment of cancer.

For 30 years, Miracle on Madison has been benefiting children in need. In addition to holiday shopping, there will be fun activities to delight children and families. This year, there with two stages featuring children’s entertainment (including the casts of Broadway’s Cats and School of Rock at the 86th Street stage, starting at noon), a Taste of Madison Avenue tent offering culinary treats by the chefs of Madison Avenue and a special appearance by the Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Caring Canines Team.
